How do you get tickets to a golf tournament?
1) How do you get tickets to a golf tournament?
2) How much do they cost on average?
3) Seating doesn’t matter does it? You can ’stand’ anywhere you want to right?
4) Are you allowed to take photos?
Best place to get tickets is from the tournament website.
Price is all based on tournament and what kind of ticket you purchase.
To an extent, it’s a first come first serve type of ’seating’ for GA tickets.
Very Rarely, sometimes on the Monday of the tournament when its the practice round, but camera’s are not allowed during the tournament except for people with press passes.
Anyone been to or done a golf scramble shower for the bride or couple?
I haven’t been to one, but I think it’s a terrific idea. Scrambles are good even for beginners…my first tournament was a scramble and I had a blast. The more experienced players on my team gave me pointers throughout the day, too.
It’d be a lot of fun to play 18 holes (or even 9 if you wanted it to take less time) and then have lunch and open presents. As a woman, I’d prefer that over the traditional bridal shower with silly games!
I want to have a golf outing fundraiser. Can I call local golf courses and ask for their help?
Is this something golf courses like getting involved in and how much help can they provide.
Call golf courses and tell them what you are trying to do. Some courses get more outing requests than they can handle while others struggle to get all that they want. The supply/demand status of each course may determine how much they want to help. If a course really wants/needs the outing, they may at least steer you in the proper directions so that they may land the outing at their course. Outings are huge revenue generators for course owners. I would not expect the course to give you discount rates because you are having a charity event. Be prepared to do A LOT of work. People running an outing for the first time usually dont know what they’re getting into.
President B. Hussein Obama had a moment of silence from the links on Memorial Day. What was his score for 18?
holes? Does he take mulligans? If golfing with a superior player, does he redistribute their birdies to his own card?
barry hussein osama told his score keeper to give him a low score so that it wouldn’t look like he cheating or anything so he took a score of a 6. doh!!
In golf what is a mulligan?
The term "mulligan" in golf is a second shot allowed by an opponent and not counted on the score, when the first shot was hideously muffed (or missed altogether). Usually it happens on the drive, although not always. Needless to say, ignoring the first stroke happens only in "friendly" golf, not in professional or "serious" golf. Tiger Woods is not given mulligans when he plays tournaments.
Should I buy a new head for my golf club(driver), or make the hole bigger?
I have been having a lot of trouble with my driver lately, as it has not been hitting into the golf hole. What would you recommend more?
well you should see a pro and look at what you are doing wrong first
then if its still a problem you might able to disguss it and he can help you finding one thats perfect for you
Does anyone know companies who can sponsor a golf event?
It will be a fund raising event for kids who have lost their Military fathers in battle. This event will be in the Philippines. Players will include The Philippine Military Academy, CEO’s from different companies, representatives from different companies and of course, the Press! We need all the help! Sponsors will appear in a major Philippine Newspaper
My suggestion would be to approach AMCHAM and as well as other nationalities’ business associations.
golf rules and etiquette when making the turn?
I was playing 18 holes the other day at a local course and when I made the turn from #9 to hole #10 there was three groups waiting to tee of off . I was told that the starter told these groups to start on the back nine because the front nine was busy. There was no ranger at the tee box to let us play thru . should I have told the other groups that I was making the turn and cut in front of them ? I didn’t want to start a fight on the tee box .
I can’t say for all courses, but the ones in my area are "those making the turn have first right to the tee". They even have signs in between the 9th and 10th holes that say that. I’d check with the starter or pro- I think you got hosed… won’t do you any good now, but in the future things will be different.
What is the longest a golf ball can stay in a dog without the dog showing symptoms?
Is there any possibility that a dog could swallow a golf ball a week ago and just be showing symptoms now?
Just to add details, I called the vet when it happened, who gave symptoms to look for. Symptoms did not start occurring until a week later. Dog was then taken to the vet who removed the ball. The question was to determine if it could have been the same golf ball from a week ago, or potentially a different ball from just a couple days ago.
If it’s a good-sized dog, yes.
Get your dog to the vet asap.
EDIT — *another* golf ball? I think you need to keep your dogs and your golf balls separate!
What is involved in putting together a Charity Event Golf Tournament?
I have been tasked to put together a charity event golf tournament benefiting the Special Olympics. The thing is I have never done anything of this magnatude before. What is involved? How do you get things donated. I’ve been to numerous ones and paid the $500 registration fees but always took it for granted and never really paid much attention to the details. I figured, I paid, Things just happen. Now the shoes on the other foot. I am proud and honored to be putting togather this tourney for such a wonderful cause with ALL proceeds going to the special olympics, I just need some help.
Hosting a charity golf tournament can be extremely difficult, but very rewarding. I used to volunteer for a charity golf tournament that my friend ran and we had a blast, but it was a ton of work.
The link covers many of the important points of running a charity tournament.
Good luck and have fun!
