Does anyone have any good golf betting games?
Im leaving the end of the week for a golf trip with a total of 6 golfers. Two of us are about a 6-7 hcp, two play to about a 14 hcp, and the final two play to about a 18 hcp. We will probably play 3 somes most of the time. We will for sure play some 9 point. Also probably going to try to get on as a 6 and play as two man scramble teams. Does anyone have any other interesting 3 man golf betting games, or any good individual games that would work for a group of 6 split into two threesomes that can be fun and fair for a wide range of ability?
You could split into 2 teams of 3 and play a Ryder-Cup style match play format.
Each team would have a player from each level. Player A (6-7hcp) B(14), and C (18).
Each round you play a team match and a singles match. For example, when the foursome match is AB vs. AB, the next group has C vs C in singles.
Don’t know how long your trip is. But for 3 golf days:
Day 1: AC vs. AC (best ball w/ handicaps)
B vs. B singles
Day 2: AB vs AB (alternate shot)
C vs. C (singles)
Day 3: BC vs. BC (2 man scramble)
A vs A singles.
That gives 6 matches. With more days you just add more matches, or you could give 1 player off per day, or whatever.
Our group even has a trophy (bought on Ebay) that we get engraved every year.
The only drawback is everyone has to enjoy matchplay. (Some people hate it)
can someone explain to me: 4 man scramble in golf?
i have to assume you know the basics of a round of golf, ok?
in a 4 man scramble you have several teams of 4 play a round of golf. each man takes a shot, and then they decide which shot would be the best one to play for the next shot. the same applies on each subsequent shot, on each hole, until you putt out. only one score per team is kept, and at the end, the best scoring 4 man team wins.

what are basic rules for a scramble game of golf with four players per team?
Each team member tees off after which the team selects one of the balls to play from. Usually each member can play from within one club length from the lie in either direction but not closer to the hole. This format continues until the ball is holed. Count only the shot that you are using. For example – 4 team members tee off and select the shot furthest down the fairway – this is one stroke. Then the 4 players all play from that spot to the green. You now lie 2. If one of the 4 makes the selected putt on the green, you score a team 3.
In scramble format, putting is at a premium. Most of the time teams will be evenly matched with high, middle, and low handicappers. I played a scramble tourney last Friday and our 1 under score of 71 was good enough to finish in 4th place out of 6 teams. The winning score was 66. I also played one in May where the winning score was a 59. You simply cannot afford to miss putts and expect to win in this format.
What is high school golf like?
My friend said people don’t know what they are doing. Like do people ever miss the ball when they tee off. I started about 3 months ago and I can hit the ball about 200 yard and a little more. Well anyways I have a golf scramble tomorrow and I’m very nervous. Someone help!
Usually scrambles are about having fun. Everyone tees off, select the best tee shot and everyone hits from that spot and so on. Maybe High School scrambles are different. However, everyone is awkward their first few times out. Where to stand, when to hit, who putts first, who puts the flag back in the hole. It’s just all part of the game and I’m sure you’ll pick it up very quickly. If you have a question, ASK. It’s only a game of golf. Our foreign policy won’t be decided by how well you do on the golf course. The early teen years are difficult because you don’t want to screw up. Don’t take things too seriously until your actions have a serious impact. Golf isn’t one of those things.

Texas Scramble, Golf Competition?
How doe’s the Handicap System work? 3 teams of 3 golfers of various H’caps.result in team A= 3 under Par, team B = 1 over par & team C = 3 over par
add the 3 players in the team handicaps together and then 10% of that is the joint handicap
