im 14 years old i play a little of and on and my friend and i played 18 holes and i scored 98. Is that good for a 14 year old or should i be doing better. and i counted out of bounds and water hazards and i didn’t do any mulligans

their was a pole a few years ago that statistics show for the common person, only 10% of golfers shoot below a 100. in short great job

no.. its not very good, but that also depends on your experience.
if you have been playing for a few years, that’s not very good. you should be scoring 70’s and 80’s..

Yup thats great…under 100 at 14 is a good score to make, the average golfer that plays a lot will probably make 80’s or so…

No, thats really not very good. However, it depends on how much you practice and play. If you hardly ever play or practice then I would say its alright.

Generally a 98 is not a good score. It depends on how hard the course is though. But at age 14 your old enough to be shooting a much lower score depending on how much you play. Your no child prodigy so you’ll need alot of practice and lessons to improve.

ya this is pretty good. I’m the same way: on and off and I shot a 96. Just keep up the good work. To get better, just watch the golf channel. It works great because I got rid of my slice and then shot a 96. So ya dude, ur doing pretty great. Keep it up!!!

Being under 100 is great for you at the age of 14. I am 25 and shoot in the mid 80’s, but i don’t play a lot, so I don’t get the practice i should.

Get out there and practice. If you have a back yard you can practice chipping. Have a mark in the yard that you want to aim for and see how many you can get there.

If a local course is near and you can putt on the putting green without playing there, work on your putting. If you can afford it, go play at a local course and if you don’t hold anyone up, you can practice different shots on the same hole, especially approaches to the green and chipping.
