I am 25 and shoot in the mid 80's, but i don't play a lot, so I don't get the practice i should. Get out there and practice. If you have a back yard you can practice chipping. Have a mark in the yard that you want to aim for and see how many you can get there. If a local course is near and you can putt on the putting green without playing there, work on your putting. I'm the same way: on and off and I shot a 96. Just keep up the good work. To get better, just watch the golf channel. It works great because I got rid of my slice and then shot a 96. It depends on how hard the course is though. But at age 14 your old enough to be shooting a much lower score depending on how much you play.
